Flannery WIesT
Throughout her 10-year career as an editor, Flannery has worked for numerous publishers and literary agencies to ideate, execute, and manage fiction and nonfiction books for all ages, and with everyone from debut writers to New York Times bestsellers. Her specialties include children's and young adult literature and intellectual property development, and she is passionate about championing diversity in publishing, particularly disability representation. Flannery holds an MA in Children's Literature and an MFA in Writing for Children from Simmons University, where she earned the school's Writing for Children Award; before that, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Linguistics, and Book Studies from Smith College.
When not reading, writing, or crafting, Flannery enjoys contra dancing, singing in a community choir, indulging in afternoon tea, and other hobbies that make her sound like a time traveler from the 19th century (she's not, as far as she's aware). Having lived on both US coasts, she now resides in New England.
